I haven't been here in a LONG time, but have enough folks needling me so I thought I'd at least enter something...... <br /><br />Now in Indy - made the move here in January of this year. Much better than it was in Ohio...why? Dunno...a number of reasons: <br /><br />1] I'm not out in the boonies anymore <br />2] I'm closer to civilization <br />3] I'm WAYYYY closer to $tarbux <br />4] Wayyy more friends here - and more on the way, lol (Rusteh! Cathyn! Layna! Cam! .....and, funny, they just keep addin on more!]<br />5] Plenty o' fightin' here - with various levels<br />6] Pennsic is *still* drivable<br />7] Not workin' (I'm testing out semi-retirement....la la la.... hate me? Nya!)<br /><br />I do miss the pool tho. Sigh. But it's been a good haul here - I've got more of the moving boxes emptied here than I did in 4 years [wow, it's been that long?] at the Ohio place. This just feels more like home. Yeh, I do miss Da West - I mean, c'mon, how couldn't I? Far too many times and people that wandered thru my life and I wandered thru theirs to not miss 'em. But, I gets ta visit now and then... Estrella, Pennsic, an occasional trip to a West event. Next one? Dunno....we shall see. The last one [12th nite last year] was actually a bit bizarre. Bastion and I had some rather interesting adventures....it seemed like there were a bunch of vingettes, peculiarly strung together, making no sense at all. I mean some truly odd and boggling things that, individually, might have seemed interesting, but WHAM!, these were all in one evening. If I'd seen the bearded lady or the half-fish man, I woulda just chalked it up to the whole bizzaro event. Ask folks...it was just...wierd. [Ys - remember the 3 drunk guys in the lobby, that when they left, gave the bare ass.... your comment was priceless.] Ah, well.... memories like that can't be made up.<br /><br />Fighting? Yup. However, I screwed up my right arm at a tourney [ok, ok... I got pissed 'cuz I died to some roadbump when I was screwin around -- who me? -- so I went ape shit on the next guy. Yeh, I got him, but tore a tendon. Bright. Graceful, even? Pah. So, I've finally started taking care of it - theraputic exercises, icepaks, light workouts, and fighting left handed. Man, you can SEE the guys salivate when I come out - but luckily there's still a "scare" factor I get to use on some of them, anyway. Hopefully by Pennsic I'll get to use my right arm - otherwise I'll be a pell.<br /><br />So, that's enough for now.... mebbe we'll chat at Pennsic....<br /><br />S
